A New Addiction Unrelated To Burt Reynolds

1076 people have viewed my blog this week, presumably for a peek at this.

Nice.

Hey! Happy Thrift Share Monday! I am linking up with Apron Thrift Girl for our weekly treasure time.

I am in serious love.

And it aint with Burt.

Big time crushing on Metlox Pottery. You might remember from this platter I found several weeks ago.

This is my latest find. It is Metlox Poppytrail in the Sculptured Grape pattern.

The large Oval platter was $4.

This oval serving bowl was $3.

They are beautiful! I can’t wait to use them.

This little matching cereal bowl was $1.50

Picked up another piece of milk glass for $3. This is from the Brody Glass Company in Cleveland. I am thinking of making some kind of Christmas centerpiece with it. Something along the lines of poinsettias, evergreen and pine cones. Very Martha Stewart of me.

I did not unpack my treasures from the car until Mr. Right left for work because I did not want to hear his grumbling.

This is the sweetest little vintage vase for$3. I have a person in mind who would love it. I can’t identify it as the sticker is missing. This is the only mark on the bottom.

Any ideas?

All in all a great trip to the thrift. Picked up some more Magic Tree House books for Gabby and some shoes for the baby. Lots of stuff for ebay, mostly clothes. All the treasures made up for the fact that I got to the thrift at 9:03 am and realized I forgot my purse. So you know I was in a panic driving back home to get it. All I could think about were the people already there that were scooping up my treasures.

Hope everyone had a safe Halloween. We had an absolute blast. Big party, lots of food, lots of kids. After we came home from Trick or Treat, we decided it was early enough for another trip around the neighborhood. So glad we went because the kids had so much fun. It was all they could talk about that they got to trick or treat twice. They were amazed. Like they won the Nobel Prize or something.

Back to nursing my candy hangover.

Hope you all have a great week!

I so have that white footed milk glass bowl too!!! I was going to send it to you but I fell in love with it. It looks great with those little tangerines “cuties” in it. It would have really looked great with heath bars in it but oh no nobody in all of the greater twin cities gave out heath bars this year!!! Not happy.

You should have typed in “Porn warning: Burt Reynolds.” That would really bring in the visitors! Quite the picture.

Thanks for all the fun yesterday…we had a blast! We left when the pumpkin was full of candy and our little pumpkin was ready for bed. Most were still out so I left my white veggie tray there to be picked up another time. 🙂

You know what they say about protesting too much? I think you really do like Mr. Hairy Burt and keep showing him to us to transfix us and hypnotize us so that we will love him as much as you do…busted!

Isn’t it the best when you find a piece and it becomes a useful collection? I don’t recall ever seeing that particular pattern, but I will be on the lookout.

    Happy thrifting!
